The BUSAC Fund Manager, Mr. Nicolas J. Gebara has recently been recognized among the top 100 personalities contributing to the growth of Tourism business in West Africa.
Mr. Gebara received the top 100 Tourism Personalities Award at the 3rd Accra Weizo ECOWAS Region Tourism Fair which was held on 26th May, 2017 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra, Ghana.
The award was set up to recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves and through their efforts or that of their organizations have impacted positively on the travel and tourism sector across the west African sub region, and whose efforts have stimulated and helped to achieve their individual country’s tourism goals.
Mr. Gebara was accompanied at the event by the Chairperson of the BUSAC Fund Steering Committee, Mrs. Elizabeth J. Villars and the entire BUSAC Fund team.
The event was also graced by high profile personalities such as His Royal Highness, Nene Nagai Kassa VIII, Chief of Agomeda, and President of Shai Traditional Council; members of the diplomatic Corps in Ghana which included Lulu Xingwana, High Commissioner of South Africa in Accra; H.E. Thomas Okyere, the Honorary Consul, Botswana Honorary Consulate in Accra; H.E. Pavelyn Tendai Musaka, Zimbabwean Ambassador to Ghana and Mwansa S. Rowland, Deputy High Commissioner for Zambia in Accra-Ghana.
Earlier in October 2016, the BUSAC Fund also won a “Special Award” at the maiden edition of the Ghana Tourism Hall of Fame awards ceremony in recognition of the Fund’s significant support for the development of the tourism sector in Ghana.
