LAUNCHING OF BUSAC FUND PHASE THREE

The BUSAC Fund is pleased to announce the launching of the third phase of the Programme (BUSAC III) starting from 1st July 2016. The Programme which will be implemented for the next four and half years will continue promoting private-public sector policy dialogue to improve the business environment for the Ghanaian private sector.

BUSAC Fund phase III will have a three-month inception period (from 1st July to 30th September 2016) to enable the Fund Management Unit (FMU) put in place structures for the proper commencement of operations within the new phase. All stakeholders should kindly note that grant making under the new phase can only begin after this inception period.

After more than six (6) years of enhancing the advocacy capacity of the Ghanaian private sector, the second phase of the Business Sector Advocacy Challenge (BUSAC) Fund officially came to an end on 30th June, 2016. The second phase of the BUSAC Fund run from March 2010 to 30th June 2016, during which the Fund provided 435 advocacy grants to various Private Sector Organizations (PSOs) across the ten regions of Ghana to enable them advocate the removal of barriers within the business environment.

The Fund Management Unit will like to thank the Development Partners - DANIDA, USAID, and the EU -who provided the support needed to finance the services rendered to the Fund's grantees under BUSAC II. The FMU also wishes to express its sincere gratitude to all its stakeholders, particularly the Steering Committee, Grantees, the Public Sector, Short Term Technical Assistants (STTAs), Sister Funds and the general public for cooperating with the Fund to serve the Ghanaian private sector throughout the just ended phase.
