||(a). The need, or the constraint to alleviate
The rural workers of Ghana are most often self-employed, living on the brink of severe poverty and dwelling in remote areas. But Governments are not always addressing their real concerns at WTO and other International bodies, and therefore there is the need to continue and widen the work of the rural producers themselves to address the problems of their lives through the relevant channels.
(b). The proposed solution to the identified need or constraint your achievement
Training of the Cadre Core SERW to reach their fellow workers and to address fora in Ghana and in various parts of the world – and implementing the reach out programmes.
(c). The implementation plan to achieve the solution – your Action Training of trainers programme for the 30 Cadre Core SERW members
Reaching out to agricultural establishments and SERW in the districts
Creating a Forum for players in the field (WTO, EU, Embassies) to discuss trade policies affecting the rural workers of Ghana.
Attending West Africa Trade Summit as observers
Attending Africa Trade Summit as observers
Attending Trade Summit in Hong Kong as observers)
(d) The expected impact(s) of the advocacy Action (i.e. the effects of the result(s) achieved by your Action).
After the Action 30 Rural Workers will be capable of addressing all issues that affect their livelihoods. When addressing trade summits they will indirectly strengthen the Delegation of Ghana and the delegations of various African countries.
